Digital Marketing Specialist, UK and Ireland – Diabetes

Location: Hybrid/office based

Contract type: Temporary (Maternity Cover – 1 Year Fixed Term Contract)

Our client is a leader in diabetes care technology. Through their glucose monitoring portfolio, they work to simplify and improve diabetes management globally. Since their inception, their goal has been clear to improve patient outcomes and empower their community to take control of diabetes.

A fantastic new opportunity has arisen to join their team as a Digital Marketing Specialist for the UK and Ireland. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned brand marketeer with a solid base (min. 3-5 years) in direct-to-consumer marketing. The key focus of this position will be to deliver the client’s brand communications strategy with consumer and HCP audiences across offline and online channels and lead the client’s PR efforts to drive customer acquisition. The ideal candidate will have a passion for healthcare and be ready to work on a brand that has the power to transform the lives of people with diabetes.

This role offers flexibility for home-working 3 days per week.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver localisation of global marketing campaigns to match the position of the brand in UK and Ireland to maximise brand potential for both consumers and HCP’s
  • Lead the development and implementation of the paid media strategy for both offline and digital channels for all audiences
  • Drive the UK and Ireland PR strategy to support brand awareness goals & activation of key diabetes calendar events
  • Own the social media channel strategy to deliver brand engagement and retention goals (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
  • Liaise closely with all business support functions (medical, regulatory, legal, sales teams and regional and global marketing teams)

Traits of an ideal candidate:

  • 3-5 years of consumer marketing experience, with a demonstrated record of customer acquisition through digital and offline channels
  • Consumer healthcare marketing experience
  • Experience in campaign development and media management (offline and digital) and working with agency partners
  • Insights-driven and excited to roll-up your sleeves to deliver exceptional quality at speed
  • Experience working with legal, regulatory, and marketing agencies
