Hospital Account Manager

Our client is a world-leading supplier of pharmaceuticals, devices and consumables; working as an integrated service provider, they deal with healthcare supply needs from a local to national scale.

The purpose of the position of Hospital Account Manager will be to work with hospital trusts, providing a clinical and non-clinical perspective when representing and promoting our clients’ portfolio of products and services.

Hospital Account Manager Main Responsibilities:

  • Achieve outlined business objectives by generating sales and revenue to achieve sales and gross margin targets
  • Work closely with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, representing products and services such as; Sexual Health, unlicensed medicines, specials and over labelling services
  • Account management and business planning; ensuring activities are in line with business/financial targets
  • Stakeholder management; identifying and developing a network of KOLs to support the business plan
  • Work with Customer Excellence and Procurement teams to expand business opportunities and product portfolio
  • Increase clinical presence in key hospital therapeutic groups
  • Maintain a high-level understanding of product development, competitor environment and potential customer requirements

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • 3+ years experience working within secondary care
  • Experience within pharmaceutical, devices or healthcare sales at a hospital trust/CCG level
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders from a clinical and non-clinical setting
  • Previous experience developing strategic business plans and communicating this effectively
  • Proficient in all aspects of MS Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
