Star has a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Team Leader to join a world-leading supplier of pharmaceuticals, medical devices and consumable supplies.

The Quality Team Leader will be integral to the Quality Team, dealing with all GDP aspects. The right candidate will be meticulous and adaptable in organising their workload as work will vary greatly from day to day. They will also help to provide essential guidance to other Quality Team members. 

Key responsibilities:

• Fulfilling drug and licence applications for import/export drugs
• CD licence endorsements
• Customer/supplier approval and categorisation for products allowed
• Compliant investigation and resolution
• Review product returns
• Investigate temperature excursions
• Manage and action product recalls on behalf of suppliers
• Authorise product returns and destructions
• Review and sign off COC’s for sales department
• Manage Pharmacovigilance Adverse Events and Product Quality Complaint monthly reports
• Carry out Quality Risk Assessments
• Carry out relevant GDP SOP’s as instructed by the RP of the company

Traits of an ideal candidate:

• Previous quality assurance experience within the Pharmaceutical industry
• Previous experience supervising a small team
• Previous experience handling complaints, recalls, MHRA alerts and notifications
• Experience in internal auditing of GDP Quality systems
• Proficient in all aspects of MS Office
• Adaptable to new processes and IT systems
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Sound understanding of storage and distribution of pharmaceuticals under GDP
• Experience working with controlled drugs
